Description

Eco Electrical Systems designs and manufactures wildlife outage protection devices; bird guard and wildlife protective products used in conjuction with Avian Protection Plans to reduce avian electrocutions and outages caused by wildlife interaction. The conductor covers , cutout covers, and deterrents are used on overhead distribution poles and substations to protect raptors, or eagles, hawks, owls, and other avian species from being electrocuted or injured on high voltage power lines as well as squirrels, racoons and other wildlife. Our wildlife outage protection products are designed by a Journeyman Lineman to be installed energized, "Hot", with approved "Hotsticks" or liveline tools. All of our products utilize "Snap Fit Pins" that are installed using approved liveline tools and techniques or approved "Rubber Protective Products". The insulator covers and cutout covers DO NOT encapsulate the insulator "Shorting" the leakage distance of the insulator. They sit "UP" on top of the insulator covering the conductor, tie wire, preform and in the case of cutouts the upper contact assembly and connector area. The "Snap Fit Pins" prevent the products from being dislodged or from being "Blown Off" during periods of high winds. Cutout covers available for interchangeable porcelain and polymer cutouts.
