IPPC, RESY, the European Union, and many other organizations and countries have regulations regarding wood and wooden products crossing borders. These regulations include pallets and other wooden shipping components. It takes an expert to understand some of the new regulations, and it’s even more difficult to keep track of which countries are enforcing them. While wooden pallets can be treated to make them compliant, it can be difficult to tell the difference between a treated pallet and a non-treated one.
