Economic Development Imports LLC (EDImports) sources products handmade by women living in marginal socioeconomic conditions. Through the sale of these goods women support themselves and their families, build self-esteem and help assure their communities of sustainable futures. Based in New York, NY, EDImports works with artisans in Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana, Burkina Faso and Mali. We also have a close relationship with Fair Trade industry veteran One World Projects and together we offer products handmade by artisans from more than 20 countries in Latin America, Asia and Africa. All retail purchases from our website are processed and shipped from the One World Projects warehouse in Western NY. We welcome wholesale inquiries. Building lasting relationships with women and their communities is an important part of our vision. In addition to paying living wages, we strive to become a positive force for social and environmental change. In that spirit, we work to provide artisans with viable and sustainable economic opportunities.
