Smith Vane Type Mist Extractor The E.W.S. Vane Type Mist Extractor is guaranteed to remove 99.9% of all liquids 8 microns and larger entrained in the process gas stream. This performance is maintained at any flow rate up to the design capacity for each unit. The unique E.W.S. vane design yields an extremely low pressure drop. The E.W.S. Vane element is superior to either wire mesh or cyclone elements in separation performance and durability. The vane spacing makes the unit much less subject to fouling than wire mesh. The E.W.S. Vane Type Mist Extractor offers increased separation performance and permits the use of reduced vessel diameters for more cost effective separator designs in many applications. Standard materials of construction are carbon steel or T-316-L stainless steel vanes in SA-516-70 carbon steel boxing.
