Virtually every product being brought to market must pass one or more regulatory compliance tests. Most of us are familiar with the U/L safety mark but things have gotten more involved. Now FCC, IEC, EU, RoHS compliance and FDA typically get into your product planning - like it or not. EDA designs its product to meet all known applicable standards for your product but its engineering staff cannot keep up with the ever expanding detail involved in "nursing" your product through compliance testing.

Electronic Design Associates ( EDA ) is an engineering design facility, specializing in custom development of your new electronic product, electronic circuits and related packaging. Your product may include digital, analog, embedded micro-computer and wireless technologies for the medical, industrial and security markets. Located in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, EDA designs and manufactures FDA, IEC-60601, EU/ CE marked, U/L, CSA, RoHS and FCC Part 15 compliant products for Fortune 500 and Start-up companies.

When your product's development progresses to Step Three (Production Prototypes), EDA is equipped to build several products and proof the drawings as needed. However, after that, in Step Four (Pilot Production), it is time to enlist a Contract Manufacturer (CM) to jointly work with the engineering team for the next build of product. EDA is located nearby to a host of contract manufacturers with the IEC, FDA and RoHS compliant skills and costly equipment needed to build electronic devices in volume, cost-effectively.

EDA 's offices are conveniently located mid-way between Tampa and the Clearwater/St. Petersburg areas. It is only 20 minutes driving time either to Tampa's International Airport or the Gulf of Mexico beaches. Its location in the new Lynmar Business Center is convenient to a wide range of supporting services such as machine shops, metal fabrication companies, electronic parts distributors, label/ panel fabricators and the like. This means that your product's prototyping and manufacture can enjoy quick local turn-around times.

Electronic PWA and Firmware/ Software Design: Analog from DC to UHF & digital technology using the latest microcomputers, C-compilers and PC-based CAD schematic capture and PWB layout tools. Electro-Sensor Design: Medical and specialized industrial sensors requiring materials, surgical, and physiology expertise can be designed.
