Lynn Pietak is the Archaeology Group Manager and a Principal Investigator for the firm. Lynn has been with the firm since 2003, when Edwards-Pitman began providing archaeology services to our clients. She has 30 years of experience in prehistoric, historic, and urban archaeology of the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic and in cultural resources management. Lynn received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from The Johns Hopkins University in 1983 and her Master of Arts degree in Anthropology from New York University in 1989.

Lee Williams is a Senior Ecologist with an expertise in environmental services and natural resource management. As a South Carolina native, he has over 9 years of experience with environmental regulations and services in both South Carolina and Georgia. Lee has extensive experience in ecological field surveys, wetland/stream delineations, Section 404 permitting, mitigation biomonitoring, GIS/GPS services, and environmental documentation to meet the needs of the Endangered Species Act and the National Environmental Policy Act.

Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. also has experience working with state Departments of Transportation. Although our primary focus has been on work with the Georgia Department of Transportation, our staff has been involved with environmental planning on projects in other Southeastern states including Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. In addition, we have worked with state agencies and on projects in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

The planning staff of Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. staff has over 80 years of combined experience with environmental planning and preparing documents in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA). The level of documentation has included Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, and Environmental Impact Statements and decision documents including Findings of No Significant Impact and Records of Determination. In addition, our firm has experience preparing and complying with state-level environmental policy act documents.

Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) archaeology staff has decades of experience in the survey (Phase I), assessment (Phase II) and mitigation (Phase III) of prehistoric, historic, and urban archaeological sites in the Southeastern United States as well as other regions of North America. Our staff's understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance procedures enables us to provide knowledgeable consultation during each phase of project development.
