Tim Lester has worked for over 20 years in the fields of environmental investigation, remediation, regulatory evaluation and related fields. As a remediation specialist, he has been on the cutting edge of remediation applications of soil vapor extraction and bioventing. In 1987 Tim was involved in the fabrication and field testing of a 1,000 cfm SVE system which utilized the first Allied-Signal catalyst applied for SVE purposes. Since that time, he has designed and implemented SVE bioventing systems for fuels, PNA (CA superfund), heavy oil (utility RCRA site) and refinery remediation projects.

EEI provided a complete suite of environmental site investigation, consulting, and field remediation oversight needed to investigate and remediate this former battery manufacturing facility, which was one of the largest manufacturers of batteries in the Western U.S. from the 1940's through the 1970's. EEI provided regulatory strategy to the Client to transfer the site jurisdiction from a State Agency to a smaller municipal agency that could expedite the site evaluation and cleanup.

In my position as Vice President of Operations, for Rancho Mission Viejo, I have had the opportunity to work closely with EEI's principal geologists on a number of projects. These have included Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, site cleanups, compliance audits, litigation support, underground storage tank removals, third party data review, geophysical surveys and general consultation. EEI has proven to be extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with, providing timely and cost effective service.

EEI provides geotechnical siting studies to provide geologic hazard data needed for EIR/EIS and related site and engineering planning, as well as specific geotechnical studies needed to provide design criteria for specialized foundations for wind towers and related power generation infrastructure. Such studies provide Owners with options which can result in substantial cost savings during the development and construction process.
