Microserv was the first regional ISP to offer DSL services to the Idaho Falls and Pocatello area. We installed our first customer in June, 2000. We continue to be the region's leader in DSL services.Microserv provides it's customers with the largest dedicated technical support of any local provider. We were the first to offer extended technical support hours to better suit our customer's needs. We also have the largest administrative staff of any local provider.High bandwidth, reliability, and redundancy characterize Microserv's Internet connectivity. Microserv connects directly to multiple tier 1 Internet backbone networks in Denver, Salt Lake, Cheyenne, and Boise. By connecting to multiple backbone networks, Microserv can route Internet traffic faster, and through shorter network paths. This multi-homing also provides us with redundant connectivity in the event that one or more Internet backbone networks has difficulty. We also have local peering agreements and connections with serveral other organizations and Internet Service Providers in the State. This provides our users with fast connections to many local resources including Idaho State Government sites, State Universities and Schools, and the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL). This allows Microserv to keep local Internet traffic fast, and avoid routing local network traffic accross the country.
