ESE has been manufacturing products for Government & Military applications for over 35 years! In the mid-70’s ESE introduced two very accurate Master Clocks. These products widened ESE’s market to include 9-1-1 dispatch centers, military installations and other applications that could benefit from this level of reliable accuracy. Later in the 70’s our first IRIG-B Time Code product was introduced. Since then, the IRIG Product Family has grown considerably.

With the development of Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1), time synchronization has never been more important in the 9-1-1 & Public Safety industries. Voice loggers, computer servers, and automation systems are but a few of the devices whose performance can be enhanced when interfaced with a source of precision time. ESE has been providing simple, accurate and cost-effective sources of precision time for over 42 years.

A large part of ESE's business is creating custom designs for our customers. We can either modify an existing standard unit or combination of units to fit a particular need, or create a custom product from scratch.

To date, ESE has created over 2300 "special products". When you place an order for a "special", your product will be assigned a "Special Part Number", such as "ES-3100" (typically, anything over "ES-1000" is, or was, a special). This will be the product name for all intents and purposes. A "special" generally requires a non-recurring engineering charge, which consists of $175.00 plus any hardware / software development costs, which will vary depending upon complexity. Rush orders can be accommodated for a 10% premium, if premium time is available.

ESE manufactures a wide variety of remote displays to go with our Master Clock and Master Timer lines, from console displays with .4" high digits to 4" wall mount displays viewable from at least 120 feet. Attractive yellow or red (blue or green are optional) LED displays are employed (depending upon the product). All of the digital displays operate from the ESE Time Code ™ output from our Master Clocks or Master Timers. Various members of the Remote product line (the "U" Series, for example) include the ability to read SMPTE/EBU or ASCII Time Codes as well.
