In the early 1970's, Richard Brumbaugh opened Community Electric in San Rafael, California, after more than a decade of success in the electrical contracting business in Akron, Ohio. Richard brought his two sons into the business and in 1983, Stuart formed Electrix where his father and his brother Mark joined him five years later when Richard sold Community. Mark Brumbaugh is in charge of field operations and Richard is semi-retired and often helps in the office. Collectively, our dedicated management and estimating team has more than 140 years experience. Let us put our experience to work for you! One community can have different Codes from another, and inspection enforcement varies. Remodeling is most of what we do, which is significantly more difficult than new construction, especially in older buildings that have sub-standard wiring. General contractors rely on the Electrix team to design and build electrical upgrades to current code requirement and to plan for future capacity. Electrix is experienced in the repair of older home wiring and upgrading it to current Code during remodels and upgrades.
