Beginning - Incorporated in 1976, Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL) is an engineering, design and manufacturing company whose initial product line included data cables, data switches, breakout boxes and other products for the budding data/telecommunication industry.Growth - As more companies entered the data/telecommunication supplier industry, competition became more intense, but ESL's agility, quality work, and innovative products allowed more than survival, the company experienced growth. In 1998, ESL expanded its facility to accommodate its current business areas:Today - ESL product lines are all data communication and computer interconnection cables including fiber optics; all communication interface switches, both manual and remotely controllable, including state-of-the-art fiber optic switches; materials test instrumentation such as tensile testers that are voice activated and controlled; load cell electronics; and contract manufacturing.
