Emergency Reporting delivers reporting and records management services to first responders world-wide. Emergency Reporting (Reporting Systems, Incorporated) is a privately held <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /> Washington State corporation established January 2003 as a result of a partnership between a GIS company, a web development company and a good idea. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Adrian Mintz (Owner of Summit GIS, a GIS consulting company) was faced with the demand for gathering EMS data within a multi-agency district. Instead of paying exuberant fees for services that would fall short, Adrian came up with the idea of creating a web-based solution to capture the data and provide the GIS reporting capability necessary. The idea sparked a meeting between his company and Dave Adams (Owner of Webefx, a web development company) to develop a web-based system that could be used for data collection and analysis. The web-based system would be easy-to-use and cost-effective. Summit GIS handled the software architecture design; Webefx handled all programming and design. As a result of the partnership, the multi-district EMS agency received their software on-time and within budget. It became evident a web-based reporting system that is simple to use for data entry and running reports was what most first responders wanted. Furthermore, they were very frustrated with their current fire software program. In January 2003, Emergency Reporting was incorporated for the purpose of producing useful, easy to use web-based software and to provide the best customer service possible. At first, Emergency Reporting featured just NFIRS (National Fire Incident Reporting System), with limited EMS reporting capability. The system quickly expanded as clients demanded more capabilities. Customer feedback continues to play an important role in the ongoing development of Emergency Reporting services. In September 2003, Emergency Reporting made a major advancement with the system, which involved the integration of the NHTSA 2.0 (NEMSIS) dataset with the NFIRS data set. Emergency Reporting was the first in the country to offer web-based NFIRS and NEMSIS datasets fully integrated with modules for daily operations. The integration of the two national data set standards is a very important, because 70% of all fire department incidents are EMS related. This benefit remains a major differentiator between Emergency Reporting and traditional fire software companies. We delivered the NEMSIS reporting service to customers for no additional cost or effort on their part. In August 2005, Emergency Reporting working with the CFAI, released VISION software. VISION risk assessment and accreditation software was developed to replace Rhave software. In April 2006, Emergency Reporting became an approved vendor on the GSA Schedule under contract number GS-35F-0345S (Reporting Systems, Incorporated). The GSA Schedule allows government entities to purchase Emergency Reporting services direct with no competitive bid. In August 2006 Emergency Reporting was awarded NEMSIS Silver (currently Gold) Certification. Our customers will receive all NEMSIS updates at no cost or effort. In January 2008, Emergency Reporting celebrated five years of business. What started as a good idea has grown into a reporting and records management solution for the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, NASA, airports, CDC, a nuclear power facility, ambulance services, hospitals, oil refineries and other agencies with first response capabilities world-wide. Throughout 2008 and the first quarter of 2009 the economy is forcing everyone, including first response agencies, to evaluate what products and services are most important and which deliver the best "value" for the dollar invested. Our software model is proving to be of real value, especially in the areas of unlimited users per aency, training and support services, and savings from not having to maintain software and a network. Emergency Reporting received the NEMSIS Gold Certification on July 27, 2009. The certification validates our solution as the only online system with NEMSIS Gold, NFIRS, Risk Assessment, all fully integrated (option) with 17 useful modules for daily operations. Just two months after receiving NEMSIS Gold certification, Emergency Reporting was awarded the contract to support United States Marines Corp bases world-wide with fire, EMS and risk assessment reporting services.
