EMG Laboratory is a state-of-the-art facility that specializes in sophisticated electrodiagnostic testing of the nerves and muscles. Our goal is to provide the highest level of patient care and diagnostic support for our referring physicians. Electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction tests are performed in order to evaluate the condition of nerves and muscles. These tests make use of highly-sophisticated computerized equipment, which allow calculations of the rate at which nerves conduct electrical impulses. In addition, they assess whether or not muscles may have had some interruption in their nerve supply, or if there is any damage to the muscles. This test provides information about a variety of disorders including injured nerve roots, damaged nerve and muscle disorders. The detailed information gathered, and comprehensive analysis that follows, is critical to thoroughly understanding the neuromuscular condition, which in turn assists in selecting the most effective treatment plan. Drasko Simovic, M.D. is a graduate of the Boston University Affiliated Residency Program in Neurology. He completed two sub-specialty fellowships at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Tufts University in Boston, MA. He is Board Certified in Neurology (ABPN), Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM), Clinical Neurophysiology (ABPN-CN) and Disability Analysis (ABDA).
