The entire scrubbing system was designed and manufactured using today's high nickel alloys and reinforced thermoplastics to provide long life in a very corrosive environment.

Emtrol custom designed and supplied a specialized multi-stage Condensing Scrubber System to fit compactly in the area directly behind the incinerator. The system consists of a gas quencher, a low-profile gas condenser, a venturi scrubber and a high efficiency mist eliminator. In addition, the system includes an induced draft fan, recirculation pumps, instrumentation, piping and a control panel for complete automatic operation.

Emtrol has supplied more tertiary cyclone systems for FCC units than any other cyclone supplier, and our experience in this area is unequaled. Many of these installations have been operating for more than 20 years and, at this juncture, we have secured over 700 contracts worldwide for the supply of cyclones for the specialized FCC application. Over thirty-five of these contracts are for tertiary installations, of which about half are utilized solely for final particulate removal to meet local air pollution control regulations.

Our subcontractors experience extends to the manufacture of our Industrial products, as well. Many of our fabricators have been supplying scrubbers and baghouse filters for more than 25 years!

The repeated demand for this support system has endorsed our product and sustained our reputation as the dominant source of supply in this area. Phillips Petroleum in Borger, Texas, Pembroke Cracking Company in Dyfed, Wales, Imperial Oil (formerly Texaco Canada) in Nanticoke, Ontario and Chevron Oil Company, Pascagoula, Mississippi ­to name a few ­are early users who upgraded and expanded their units and chose our patented system once again. This is yet another example of paramount refiners placing their confidence in our systems.
