Energy Services, Incorporated (ESI) was founded in 1974. Most of its key staff professionals gained their practical experience at Turbo Power & Marine Systems, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation, where they designed and built gas turbine and combined-cycle projects of many types. The company's principals had managed responsibilities for the engineering and installation of twelve hundred such TP&M power plants. In July 2001 ESI was acquired as a subsidiary to United Technologies Corporation . ESI is an architect/engineering firm with a nucleus of some forty professionals in the disciplines fundamental to gas turbine and steam turbine electric power generation. The versatility inherent in our size, experience, and vigor enables us to deliver our services under a variety of contractual arrangements. We are sometimes designers and providers of the complete generating plant, and sometimes remanufacturers, modifiers, and maintainers of that equipment. In the following pages we present thumb-nail sketches of ESI projects which define our charter.
