Founded as a small business in 2001 by an experienced management and professional team, Engenium is privately held and headquartered in Ellicott City, MD. Our services range from systems analysis and concept development, to hardware design including digital, analog, and RF circuitry, to real-time embedded software development. Our depth from concept development through hardware and software implementation affords discriminating complete solutions that yield the greatest economy in size, power, and cost while achieving performance objectives. One of Engenium's core products is the Flexible Transceiver (Flexceiver) Software Defined Radio (SDR). A software defined radio is a device that can be configured to transmit and receive any variety of communications waveforms. For instance, it could be configured to implement the CDMA cellular phone waveform while in the USA and then be reconfigured to implement the GSM cellular phone waveform when in Europe. Our Network of Inexpensive Sensors Everywhere (NoISE) product is our second core offering. NoISE is as its name suggests, a collection of inexpensive networked RF receivers.
