California – Income, sales and use taxes amnesty The California Assembly has passed a tax amnesty bill that, if passed, would provide relief from California personal income tax, corporation franchise (income) tax, and sales and use tax penalties and fees for taxpayers that participate in the program during the period of February 1, 2005, through March 31, 2005. The California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) would be given the option of choosing another two month period for personal income and corporation franchise (income) tax purposes as long as the amnesty program ends prior to June 30, 2005.
