Description

The Friends of the Englewood Library is a nonprofit organization of volunteers dedicated to the support and enrichment of the Englewood Public Library. Your membership dollars help purchase numerous materials and fund programs in addition to what is provided through the library's annual budget. Pamela J. Macleod has been elected to a two-year term as President of the Friends of the Englewood Public Library. She succeeds Stuart Tray in the post. She had been Vice President, a post now held by Tray. Re-elected officers include Michael Tubridy, Membership Vice President; Dr. James S. Cohen, Treasurer; and Louise Schwarz, Secretary. New officers are: Cynthia Sumner, Book Sale Vice President, and Irmari Nacht, Publicity Vice President. In addition to the officers, members of the Board of Trustees include: Bobbie-Bouton Goldberg, Serena Carson, Arnold E. Brown, Lisa Levien, Betty J. Grossman, and Ann Davis. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Many volunteers are needed throughout the year to help with various fundraisers and activities. If you have time and would like to help please call 201-568-2215. If you are unable to volunteer, your membership is just as important! FRIENDS SPONSORED EVENTS Each year, Friends of the Englewood Library sponsors several fund-raising including the Book Sales . FRIENDS SUPPORTS THE LIBRARY Friends of the Englewood Library, through membership dues and fund-raising efforts, purchases library materials and sponsors programs that could not be otherwise funded by the library. Through members' generosity, Friends helped enlarge the library building. The Friends have approved over $16,000 to fund the following 2007 Library projects: archival materials and supplies to start the Library
