He received an undergraduate degree with distinction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He attended medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Following medical school, he completed a surgical internship and residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Utah Affiliated Hospitals in Salt Lake City, Utah. After a fellowship year in facial plastic surgery, he returned to Nebraska to begin his career with Ear, Nose and Throat Specialties. He is board certified in Otolaryngology and his professional interests include pediatrics, nasal and sinus surgery.
