In 1991 Scott Hicks, Bill Dancer and Valerie Fox founded Environmental Drying Services (EDS) to address the growing need for dehumidification services. EDS focused its efforts on the commercial market which includes industrial, office and retail properties. Whether it's a hurricane, flood or sprinkler head discharge after a fire, EDS displays a professional, urgent approach to return its customers to a pre-loss condition in the shortest time frame possible. After two years, Valerie Fox retired leaving Scott and Bill to meet an ever growing customer demand for service. To meet that demand, EDS became a full service provider including fire, smoke, water, and mold remediation along with our other services. In 1996, Environmental Diversified Services was launched to focus on our headquarters area of Charlotte, North Carolina and the surrounding region. Then in 2000 Environmental Disaster Services was started to address the full service needs of the national market...
