Eric's Pharmacy

Description

Eric Winegardner is the owner and manager of Eric's Pharmacy in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy in 1992. He currently is a member of the adjunct faculty at the University of Oklahoma and serves as a preceptor for pharmacy students. Eric maintains membership in the National Association of Community Pharmacists, Oklahoma Pharmaceutical Association, and the National Association of Consultant Pharmacists. Eric attends the midyear conferences of the National Community Pharmacists and the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists. He plans to move the pharmacy in the direction of consulting for long term care facilities. He served as consultant pharmacist at Mission Hill Memorial Hospital from 1991 to 2003. Eric currently serves on the consultant staff of specialists at Angelic Family Hospice in Shawnee. Eric has attended numerous conferences and has reviewed extensive research involving bio-identical hormone replacement. He took a personal interest in the subject after his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1999. After rather intensive chemotherapy and radiation therapy, along with certain hormone therapy, Mrs. Winegardner has been completely cancer-free since 2001. He has helped women who deal with hormone issues involving hot flashes, peri and post menopausal issues, and pre-menstrual syndrome. This area of interest has become a major focus in his practice.
