Powder Coating Pioneer located in Northwest PennsylvaniaErie Powder Coatings' roots trace back to 1969. At that time, partners Jim Cummings, Ray Erickson & Chuck Cummings pioneered powder coating in Erie, Pennsylvania. Utilizing Vinyl and Epoxy Powders, their company Fluidized-Bed Dip coated products for GE, American Sterilizer and Zurn Industries. In 1984, John and Chuck Cummings founded Erie PowderCoating Technology in order to further promote the powder coating process.
