Eurotherm is one of the world’s best known suppliers of Control and Measurement Instrumentation to Industrial and Process Markets. We are part of Invensys plc, a leading global automation and controls company. Eurotherm’s instruments are sold under five product brands: Action Instruments, Barber-Colman, Eurotherm Chessell, Continental Industries and Eurotherm Controls. We manufacture at a number of locations in Europe and the USA.Eurotherm Controls, was formed in 1965 at Worthing, West Sussex, England specifically to manufacture temperature controllers. Within five years, the company had set up a number of loosely related but independent companies to develop and produce other advanced product lines. Chessell Ltd was created to manufacture data recorders, while Turnbull Control Systems (TCS) was formed to produce advanced process control systems.By 1978 the company was strong enough to “go public” and it became quoted on the London Stock Exchange in May of that year. It was acquired in 1998 by Siebe plc, later to become Invensys plc.
