We are Events Direct, a shipping company that has evolved into an events marketing partner. We began over seventeen years ago as an airfreight company primarily catering to the convention business. In the early nineties we had some opportunities with McCann Erickson in St. Louis. They were looking for someone that would not only deliver their items on time, but also directly to an exact location or individual. They sometimes were going to locations that had an address and sometimes to a location that may be "along the side of the road at the beach by the big green tent, to the guy in the red shirt in the yellow truck, with xyz on the side of it". "Oh and by the way we need this there at exactly 5:15 am on Sunday morning." These kind of challenges got our' bet we can do it' juices going, and we did it. Time after time we were able to deliver for them no matter how weird or difficult the delivery was, we were able to pull it off. To us it was difficult work sometimes, but it was always fun to be able to accomplish the task. Word spread to other event companies and they also took advantage of our unique shipping capabilities. At some point one of clients ask us if we could receive some premiums that were being shipped to them from a variety of different sponsors. Sure, we had a small warehouse and a couple of docks, whatever we can do to help.
