Our Winemaking Philosophy begins in the vineyard. Dick Schultz, our winemaker says, "the goal is to always make a wine that is the purest expression of the fruit. To me, this means conscientious grape growing practices followed by minimal intervention and quality caretaking at the winery. We all know that when fruit is taken care of in the vineyard, it really shows in the finished product. Everett Ridge was acquired by Esterlina Vineyards and Winery, LLC, an award-winning, family-owned winery based in Philo , California in 2006. The Everett Ridge Winery produces about 4500 cases of wine per year; Esterlina produces 7500 cases a year. Owning Everett Ridge will enable Esterlina to consolidate its wine production, and will give Esterlina a second tasting room in Healdsburg. In addition, Esterlina will obtain a second label, as it will continue to market wines, particularly Zinfandel, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc, under the Everett Ridge brand. "Esterlina is excited about acquiring the Everett Ridge label and facility for several reasons," said Eric Sterling, President and Winemaker for Esterlina. "First of all, Everett Ridge's Healdsburg winery and tasting room is conveniently located just 5 minutes from downtown Healdsburg California, which has seen tremendous growth recently.
