Description
The EVERLITE name was first used in connection with Illuminated House Numbers in 1934. A trademark was Filed and Registered by Curtis Development and Manufacturing of Milwaukee by the Company's owner and product inventor, Herbert C. Curtis. The initial purpose of the business was to fulfill the emerging demand for house numbers after the establishment of a uniform house numbering system for Milwaukee in 1930. The EVERLITE product line was developed to coincide with the numbering scheme as a more functional house number by means of low voltage illumination. The product has continued to fill this primary market ever since. Many thousands have been sold and are still in use today, with the original bulbs. That is not by accident. The bulb selection was made by our engineers to give the product enough lumens (approx 70 lux) to illuminate the product without "stealing the show" at a rate of electrical throughput in the rich, warmly lit incandescent bulb that renders the bulb life well in excess of 125 years! That is why you'll receive a FREE LIFETIME BULB REPLACEMENT WARRANTY with your purchase. See the price page for details. Even though Curtis Industries products developed into the electromechanical trade, with different market channels and end users, EVERLITE continued to find a niche. The product had remained as a catalog offering of Curtis Industries until May of 2003 When EVERLITE was incorporated as its own entity in the State of Wisconsin.
