EWM Group has been providing regulatory support services to state insurance departments for over 10 years. Our complement of insurance professionals includes examiners, accountants and actuaries who have worked in and with all types of insurance entities, including life, property & casualty, health, surplus lines, TPA’s, MGA’s and non-traditional carriers (i.e. captives, pre-paid legal plans, self-insurance funds, PSHCC’s, Medicare+Choice, etc.).

David has worked in the accounting field for 30 years, having co-founded Kinard and Company, a public accounting firm based in Atlanta, in 1981. He has worked with a wide range of companies, from sole proprietorships to multi-million dollar corporations. David has extensive experience in all phases of accounting, auditing and financial reporting, as well as a broad-based background in income taxation and related fields. For the past 10 years, he has conducted financial condition examinations for various State Departments of Insurance.

Phil has more than 20 years of accounting experience. He spent 11 years with a mid-sized accounting firm in the Atlanta area, during which time he held positions as Tax Manager, Audit Manager and Managing Partner. He has vast experience in auditing and advising business organizations in the areas of systems controls, long-term strategic planning, and taxation. He has worked with both small and large privately owned, closely held businesses operating in numerous industries including insurance, manufacturing, financing and distribution.
