We offer a full range of financial products and services to fulfill our members' needs with education, responsiveness and compassion. And, we support the surrounding communities in which our members live and work. Excelsior's History Serving members since 1915, Excelsior Credit Union is a not-for-profit, state-chartered credit union, with an open field of membership. Although Excelsior does serve employees of more than 125 local companies and municipalities, its open field of membership means anyone can join, regardless of their place of employment.The credit union currently serves more than 10,000 members; and because Excelsior is cooperatively owned and democratically controlled, members participate directly in choosing the programs that best suit their needs. In addition, all earnings above mandated reserves are returned to members in the form of higher rates on savings, lower fees, and lower rates on loans and credit cards — or they're invested back into the credit union to develop more products and services for the membership. Service, convenience, and value set us apart from other financial institutions. Recognizing each member as an owner means...once a member, always a member.
