Explore Minnesota Tourism is Minnesota's state tourism promotion office. It's mission is to promote and facilitate travel to and within the state of Minnesota. Tourism leverages the state's tourism investment with increased involvement by the private sector.A council of representatives from the state's tourism industry connects Explore Minnesota Tourism with tourism businesses and organizations (www.mntourism.org). Explore Minnesota Tourism is organized into four program areas: Advertising and Marketing; Communications; Operations and Consumer Services and Industry Relations. (See 2006 strategic plan.)
