Dr. Patrick J. Wands graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry. For over 17 years, Dr. Wands practiced at Dayton's Optical at the Burnsville and Edina locations. But during 2001, he decided, along with two associates, to create an optical business with a philosophy that focuses on truly meeting the needs of their optical patients. Eye Time Optical, located in Edina, does just that.

In 1992, Jim left the wholesale side of the business and switched to the retail side. He went to work for his father at Jaymar Optical at the Southdale Medical Building in Edina, MN.
