Father and Son owners, Dr. Richard Hobart and James Hobart have been involved in offshore powerboat racing for over 7 years. The boat, Eyerock B-888 has led the team to nationaland world championships. The name is derived from their two professions: Dr. Richard Hobart, an optometrist (eye) and James Hobart, President of Hobart Stone Dealers (rock), hence, Eyerock B-888. Our mascot, a 30 foot Velocity with twin 750 H.P. engines capable of tackling almost anything. Eyerock, originally purchased for pleasure was transformed into a highly competitive "B" class racing vessel.Our love of water and "need for speed" (which some may call it) brought us to the realization that there was a need out there for a company who knows through experience every aspect of the boating world. We felt we fit those shoes.
