O'Hare is located 17 miles from downtown and Midway is located 10 miles from downtown. It is generally much easier to get to and from Midway than O'Hare. There are several ways to travel between the hotel and the airports including taxi, the "L" (train) and shared shuttle. By taxi, the travel time between the hotel and O'Hare is at least 45 minutes with light traffic and considerably longer during peak traffic times. The cost for a taxi to or from O'Hare is approximately $40 plus gratuity and $35 plus gratuity for Midway. There is shared taxi service available. The nearest "L" station to the hotel is two blocks away and both airports have train stations within their terminals. The travel time by train to O'Hare is 45 minutes and Midway is 25 minutes. The cost for both routes is $2.25. The "L" is a good way to travel between the hotel and the airport if your luggage is light. Your last option is to use the shared shuttle service GO Airport Express which departs from both airports on a frequent basis. IDA has negotiated with GO Airport Express for discounted transporation to the Westin Chicago River North.
