Description

FRx has been making hydraulic fractures to improve soil and groundwater remediation since 1994, utilizing practices that were developed at the US EPA Center Hill Laboratory in Cincinnati, OH. The Principals of FRx worked in those early development projects and have been implementing the soil remediation technologies for over 20 years.

FRx was founded in 1994 and continued development and deployment of efficient, innovative, and cost-effective injection technologies has been a primary focus ever since. The company founders conceived and developed many reliable techniques and technologies while serving as principal investigators for several research and development projects sponsored by the USEPA in the 1980's and 1990's. FRx has worked at sites in the majority of the states, as well as across the remainder of the North American continent, Europe, and South America.

There are a variety of methods that can be used to create hydraulic fractures. FRx has extensive experience in implementing a large number of hydraulic fracturing methods that are most relevant to environmental remediation applications. FRx fine-tunes field methods to most effectively satisfy project and site constraints. Factors that weigh-in during method selection include fracture target depths, remedial technology to be used, surface access, subsurface obstructions (utilities or existing wells), schedule, budget, and whether a fracture-intersecting well completion will be required.
