Fabco Industries, Inc. was established in 1995 when the company's founders recognized a need for compact and inexpensive water treatment systems that could be utilized to treat low level hazardous wastewater at a customer's site.
The primary goals of the project were to develop a simple, natural, inorganic filter media that was effective on the identified pollutants; namely, heavy metals, suspended solids and low levels of oil and grease. Having done this the next challenge was to incorporate this technology into a compact, easy to use filtering system.
The design criteria called for simple operation and maintenance, portability, and cost effective operation on small volumes of liquid waste. Most importantly, to minimize disposal costs and limit long-term liability, the spent filtering media, should permanently encapsulate or bond with the filtered contaminants rendering them harmless to the environment after disposal.
