FaithTrust Institute is an international, multifaith organization working to end sexual and domestic violence. We provide communities and advocates with the tools and knowledge they need to address the religious and cultural issues related to abuse. FaithTrust Institute works with many communities, including Asian and Pacific Islander, Buddhist, Jewish, Latino/a, Muslim, Black, Anglo, Indigenous, Protestant and Roman Catholic. Founded in 1977 by the Rev. Dr. Marie M. Fortune, FaithTrust Institute offers a wide range of services and resources, including training, consultation and educational materials. Using a leadership development model, FaithTrust Institute provides in-person training, consultation and video, Internet and print resources. FaithTrust Institute provides in-depth analysis, sets the agenda and calls forth the best from religious and secular organizations to address and prevent sexual and domestic violence. FaithTrust Institute is catalyzing change within our religious institutions. Our work will continue until our churches and synagogues, stakes and assemblies, mosques and temples are effectively responding to victims and abusers, bringing forth healing and justice.
