Description
Our Mission Statement: The Falcon Research Group (FRG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the support of field research, public education, and the conservation of raptors. Our History Founded by raptor biologist Bud Anderson, in 1985, the Falcon Research Group (FRG) is based in Bow, WA, approximately an hour north of Seattle. We are deeply committed to the conservation of birds of prey and believe that education is the best way to achieve their survival in the rapidly changing future. The FRG has always provided a unique “portal” for the average person to engage with raptors up close and personal. We believe this is the best way to teach people, by allowing them to experience the beauty and wonder of these remarkable animals in hand. The FRG conducts several long-term field research projects that focus on a variety of birds of prey. We are involved in raptor breeding, migration, wintering and genetics studies both locally and internationally. We continue to present hawkwatching classes in cities throughout western Washington and since 1982 and have provided instruction to over 1,600 adults.
