Description
Project Healthy Bones Osteoporosis is a serious problem in which bones become thin, brittle and easily broken. More than 25 million Americans over the age of 65 suffer from Osteoporosis and 80% are women. But there is GOOD news! Exercise, good nutrition and education can significantly decrease the risks of osteoporosis and prevent further deterioration of the bones in people who already have the disease. Project Healthy Bones is designed to improve strength, balance and flexibility using exercises that target the body’s large muscle groups. The classes provide information on the importance of exercise, nutrition, safety, drug therapy and lifestyle factors as they relate to osteoporosis. For more information on Healthy Bones or to sign up for a class near you, please call Samantha White at 732-222-9111 ext 152 or email swhite@fcsmonmouth.org Senior Services Quicklinks Certified Home Health Aides In-Home Supportive Care Adult Protective Services Osteoporosis Preventive Education Money Management Program Medicare Education & Assistance Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)/Senior Corps For more information on osteoporosis education, please contact: Samantha White at 732-222-9111, ext. 152
