Telescopes vary in power, field, weight, focusable and non-focusable. Telescopic optics is very complex. The knowledge and experience of the doctor in designing and fitting is extremely important in determining what is best for you. Dr. Pino custom designs telescopes for his patients and is extremely experienced in this area of optometry. Cost varies with the prescription needed in the system and the type of telescopes ordered. The International Academy of Low Vision Specialists was created to address those issues and offer help to many with low vision, regardless of the cause of vision loss. Members of the IALVS, have had extensive training and are very experienced in working with those type of individuals to improve their quality of life.
