HISTORY FAP was founded in 1987 by a group of concerned residents who were driven to help their friends and loved ones stricken by HIV/AIDS who had nowhere else to turn and could no longer work full-time. In a group member's living room, this band of Samaritans pooled their own resources to help with buying groceries, rides to the doctor, paying utility bills, and feeding pets.
