Farmers Mutual Insurance Association is a property insurance company located in Hull, Iowa. The company was started in 1886 by a group of farmers wanting affordable insurance protection for their farmsteads against the perils of fire and lightning. Their concept of a mutual insurance company that is owned by the policyholder has been very successful. Our product line has expanded to provide coverage for many additional perils and Farmers Mutual currently has over 8,500 policyholders with insured property value in excess of $3.6 billion.

Death of Livestock: Contact your agent immediately. If the death is caused by a covered peril you must contact a veterinarian to perform a post-mortem examination. In no event will we provide coverage unless the loss is reported and a port-mortem examination is requested within 48 hours after death.
