Heel, Inc. was originally founded in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1979 by Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg, MD, as Biological Homeopathic Industries (BHI). Dr. Reckeweg, who also founded Heel in Baden-Baden, Germany in 1936, relocated to the United States to continue his scientific investigations and introduce U.S. practitioners to Homotoxicology and the Heel products involved in its application. Today, Heel is one of the largest homeopathic pharmaceutical manufacturers in the world, with distribution in over 60 countries. "Heel" stands for Herba est ex luce, which translates to: "plants come from the light".

Patrice Faust, NTS, LMT, is a January 1995 graduate of the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics. Since graduation, Patrice has worked full-time in therapeutic massage and natural therapeutics, including the River City Nutrition supplement department manager and the Massage Director at the prestigious Face & Body Day Spa in St. Louis, Missouri. Upon returning to Albuquerque, she has worked with her husband, Dr. Greg Faust, at Ocean of Peace as a natural therapeutics specialist and a licensed massage therapist. Patrice is a totally committed to natural and alternative health care. She is a skilled and experienced therapist who achieves excellent results, especially in pain relief.
