FauxHome is the creation of Kathleen Yusiewicz, who has worked as a professional faux artist and calligrapher since 1984. Kathy has been trained in the fine arts of faux finish painting, calligraphy, color consulting, and stenciling. She worked as an artist in the New York City area for over 15 years, and in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina since 1999 as the owner of Artistic Painting and Lettering. The name FauxHome more accurately reflects Kathy's passion for faux finishes on any medium that can be painted. Kathy has a BA in Mathematics as well, which she believes is the reason for her meticulous attention to detail in both simple and elaborate decorative finishes. Kathy will work directly with you, your architect, or interior designer to provide an on-site consultation to discuss the space or piece to be painted. A portfolio of various finishing options will be available for view. An estimate of the time and cost will be prepared, and once a date is scheduled, a sample is provided for the client using the chosen colors and style. Most clients use this sample to assist in choosing coordinating colors and accessories for their rooms. Faux Home is continually expanding our range of finishes as well as our locations to better serve our clients.
