The Fairfield Fire Department has protected ALL citizens in the Town of Fairfield including the residents of the Southport, Stratfield and Greenfield Hill sections for over 50 years. If you pay your taxes to the Town of Fairfield, we are your fire department. With a professional staff of 22 firefighters and officers on duty daily, the Fairfield Fire Department responds to all requests for assistance wherever and whenever tragedy may strike. Due to recent news reports indicating the closure of the firehouse in Southport, we want to reassure you that the fire station is NOT closed.
