Description

Mercury Press is a small publisher and printshop located at the Fellowship Community. It originated in the early days of the community to foster continuing education in the study of anthroposophical literature. Since many of Rudolf Steiner’s significant lectures were yet to be translated and printed in English, this became part of our work and provided needed material for unfolding the community’s spiritual life. The press became a “work activity group” of the community providing therapeutic, social, educational and economic activity in printing, binding, collating and shipping books to interested English-speaking people all over the world. And this activity, in turn, produces funds which enable the Fellowship to care for the elderly members at a cost far below more conventional homes for the aging.
