Founded in 1978, The Ferchill Group grew dramatically in the 1990s after John Ferchill started capitalizing on the construction of new ballparks and sports arenas with the development of hotels.

As a result of our experience and the strength of our projects, our business has been built on referrals from clients, lenders and partners. It is not unusual for us to step in to projects where others have failed. One competitive advantage we provide is our ability to creatively assemble capital that allows us to execute on projects of substantial complexity that otherwise would not happen.

We specialize in enhancing urban communities. In the process, our team is ever-cognizant of the important sensitivities of working within a community’s historic district. We strive to reach an appropriate balance between preserving tradition, renewing infrastructure and establishing modern amenities.

Kevin has two decades of experience in the development industry. At The Ferchill Group, he is responsible for all of the financial reporting within the firm and to third parties and also oversees all construction management–related issues on the firm’s development projects. Kevin holds a degree in accounting from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

The hotel’s demise began in the decades following World War II and it was closed in 1986. In 2004, the City’s Administration called upon The Ferchill Group to provide a lifeline for the Book–Cadillac after a 20–year vacancy and numerous failed attempts to develop it.
