Family Health Centers of San Diego is private nonprofit community clinic organization that is an integral part of San Diego's healthcare safety net. Since 1970, our mission has been to provide comprehensive, accessible, quality healthcare services in the San Diego region. We offer affordable services to all income levels, with a special commitment to low income, medically underserved individuals. Family Health Centers of San Diego operates twenty-four locations throughout the County of San Diego, including 11 primary care clinics, 3 dental clinics, 3 mental health centers, an HIV clinic, and 3 mobile medical units which provide healthcare services at approximately 100 community sites. In 2007, Family Health Centers of San Diego cared for over 112,000 individuals through over 450,000 patient encounters. There are over 600,000 individuals without healthcare in San Diego County, 150,000 of which are children. As the numbers of uninsured and underserved continue to rise in San Diego and nationwide, we strive to expand our network of locations and services to care for those who face the most substantial barriers to health care access.
