The Early Years Fidelity Engineering Corporation was founded in 1945 by the late Clarence W. Hottel Sr. Clarence had worked for the Carrier Corporation specializing in low temperature refrigeration, including top secret projects that were instrumental to America's victory in World War II. Armed with an entrepreneurial spirit, and the desire to personally introduce air conditioning and refrigeration to commercial clients in Baltimore, Clarence founded Fidelity Engineering Corporation.
