09 August 2010 Todd Barnett is the Founding Head of School and he teaches History. He has over 20 years of teaching experience at Landon School, Woodberry Forest School, Grand River Academy, St. Anne's-Belfield School, and the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a B.A. from the University of Virginia, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in History from the University of Pennsylvania. In 2000, he co-founded the Field Camp of Charlottesville . He has won awards for both his teaching and writing. Todd and his wife Meredith Montague live in Charlottesville. Patrick Critzer is the school Chef. Patrick enjoys cooking in a variety of styles using local and organic ingredients, as well as vegetables and herbs from the Field School garden. Patrick owns and operates an award-winning food cart, Hamdingers, that serves upscale street food on the downtown mall during the summer. Having worked as a fine dining chef and caterer, Patrick brings a wide food background to the lunch program at Field School. Patrick, Freedom and their son Lucas, a student at Field School, enjoy traveling and eating in far off places. Todd Culver teaches Science. He is a graduate of Cornell University (with a B.S. in Natural Resources) and State University of New York Cortland (with an M.S. in Science Education). He has taught science at the middle school, high school, and college levels, most recently at Mary Baldwin College. He has also worked extensively as a naturalist and ornothologist throughout his career, as a writer, researcher, and radio show producer. His interests include nature photography, birding, fly fishing, whitewater rafting, hiking, and dutch oven Cooking. He and his wife Teresa and two children live in Albemarle County. Jay Fennell teaches Latin and Spanish. Jay is a longtime friend of Todd's and he co-founded Field Camp. Jay has taught Spanish at the Tuckahoe School and Free Union Country School, where he also served as Director of Development. Jay and his wife Erika live in Free Union with their two boys, Lio and Jed. Lady Keller is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Business Administration. Her professional experience includes work in media relations, political campaigning, and project accounting, and most recently, as the general manager of Footlight Players Workshop Theatre in Charleston, South Carolina. She and her husband Karl are the parents of four children, including William, a student at Field School. Lady is the school's Asst. to the Head of School. Scott Rubinow teaches Math and Science. Scott has a B.A. in Math from Tufts University, and an M.B.A. and M.A. in Education from Columbia University. After a successful career as a Senior Technology Officer, most recently as Vice President in Domestic Brokerage at AIG New York, he and his family moved to central Virginia in 2005, and he has since been working as a 9th Grade Algebra and Geometry teacher at Waynesboro High School. In addition to serving on the Discipline and Career Portfolio Committees, he initiated a successful after-school basketball program at WHS. He has also worked for UBS Warburg, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Datronics, the College of Mount St.
