Mission: The members and board of the Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley believe that art is important to the life of a community and nourishes human development. Our purpose is to foster an enjoyment, appreciation and understanding of visual and performing arts by the residents of the New River Valley and to encourage and support its artist. We carry out this mission through an annual educational program of rotating exhibits of art from both within and without the area, classes for adults and children, lectures, performances, and the sale of related merchandise. We collect and maintain a permanent collection of the works of artists of the New River Valley and Asian decorative arts. Pride: The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley take pride in providing the citizens of Southwest Virginia with a full range of programming, including the performing and visual arts, exhibits, lectures and art education classes. We are Proud to serve Southwest Virginia and its residents with arts and culture. Excellence: We excel in employee performance, volunteer opportunities and community outreach.
