Description
Todd is a native of Amarillo. He graduated from Palo Duro High School and then received his Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum engineering from Texas Tech University. He has 30 years experience as a petroleum engineer and has worked as a drilling engineer, production engineer and reservoir engineer. His major experience has been in the mid-continent area but he has also worked the Green River Basin of Utah and Wyoming and worked in Saudi Arabia for ARAMCO. He is currently employed by Mewbourne Oil Co. as a reservoir engineer working in the Texas Panhandle.
John Harris presents a weather outlook and its impacts. John is a meteorologist at KAMR NBC 4 and KCIT FOX 14, with the AMS seal of approval for television weathercasting. He is a native Texan, born in Amarillo in 1962. John's family moved and he lived in Enid, Oklahoma for 24 years. As you can imagine, with Enid being in the heart of tornado alley, this is where John began his love affair with severe weather. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing and B.S. in Meteorology. He has practiced meteorology in the Texas Panhandle for over 17 years.
Alissa has been at her current position since 2009 and is focused on building bulk electric storage. She has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry. As a Technology Manager and Account Executive at Gas Research Institute in Chicago, IL, she managed multimillion dollar public and private research, development and commercialization projects related to the use of natural gas in existing and emerging end-use technologies. Ms. Oppenheimer spent eight years doing resource planning, economic analysis and modeling for Xcel Energy.
Presented July 19, 2012 Keynote Speaker: Wayne Hughes , Executive Vice President, Panhandle Producers and Royalty Owners Association Wayne Hughes is a 1967 graduate of WTAMU with a degree in journalism and communication. He was commander of a combat motion picture team in Vietnam. He was regional editor and chief photographer for KGNC TV and later taught journalism and radio TV production at WTAMU. He organized the first photo diagnostic unit for the Owens-Corning Fiberglass Amarillo plant.
